According to
Fiorelli –
“In questo
trovasi innanzi tutto un forno, separato da altre località cui prima stava
congiunto, e con due celle adiacenti, una delle quali servita certamente di
apotheca.”
(translation: An oven was found in this, separated from
other places with which it had been first joined, and with two adjacent rooms,
one of which would have certainly been used as a storeroom/cupboard.”)

A very interesting photo showing on the left, what appears to be the front façade and doorways of VII.16.8 and 9.
On the right is the west wall of VII.7.10, before its destruction in the 1943 bombing.
According to Eschebach, this was a two-roomed bakery, with an oven at the rear.
On the right may have been stairs to the upper floor.

According to Garcia y Garcia, this bakery was totally destroyed in the 1943 bombardment.
The oven has now disappeared.
